Course Description: The state of Rhode Island has been a leader in the implementation of measures to minimize the impact of commercial buildings on the environment. Recent examples of this include passing of the Green Buildings Act (RIGL §37-24) and Governor Raimondo’s executive order directing the development of a stretch code. This presentation will provide attendees with an overview of why and how the Green Buildings Act was developed, including what types of projects are required to comply.
