Course Description: Participants will learn the energy benefits and values associated with an IMP (Insulated Metal Panel). They will learn how to reduce the carbon footprint, contribute to the ongoing LEED initiative and understand the various applications associated with IMP panels. These include wall, roof and ceilings. Their use applies to new construction and retrofit construction.
Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course participants will have a basic understanding and knowledge of:
- How IMP’s lower building energy cost, inhibit moisture migration, and improve the environment for the occupants of the facility.
- A comparison of Insulating Values to conventional systems along with demonstration of how IMPS affect and reduce the carbon footprint of a building.
- How to apply credits towards Green Building rating for sustainability and performance using IMP’s.
- Discuss how the versatility of IMP’s works for walls, roofs, ceilings for new and retrofit applications. And be able to differentiate various types of IMP’s to meet the Green Initiative.
