New Extended Deadline - MAY 31 - for the 2019 AIA Rhode Island Architectural Forum Scholarship Program.
The AIA Rhode Island Architectural Forum is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was established by AIA Rhode Island to support educational programs within the architectural community.
The Forum’s primary vehicle for supporting architectural education is our Scholarship program. The Forum awards multiple scholarships to qualified financial aid eligible students studying architecture. Funding for architectural scholarships is provided by proceeds from AIA Rhode Island’s annual golf outing. In addition to the AIAri Scholarship program, thanks to the generous support of the family of Norton E. Salk, AIA, we are pleased to also offer the Norton E. Salk Scholarship for Design Excellence.

The updated RI Fire Code came into effect on 2/28/2019. There was a grace period (2/28/2019 to 3/30/2019) where you could use either the 2012 edition or the 2015 edition of the referenced codes.
The new Fire Code, incorporates the 2015 Editions of NFPA 1 (Fire Code) and NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code) as well as the 2013 Edition of NFPA 72.
The concurrency period only lasts until April 1 unless a variance is granted by the Fire Safety Code Board of Appeal & Review.
